Visionary Women
LABLUD is the result of the dedication and passion of three Colombian architects based in France and the United States, who have chosen to leverage their professional experience to expand knowledge and foster cultural connections and exchanges between the three countries.
Their aim is to promote architecture and culture as tools for personal and professional development, while encouraging a deeper understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity.
Architect from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, with a specialization in Environmental Law from Universidad Externado de Colombia, and studies in Professional Leadership and Communication in Organizational Management at Harvard University.
A writer and author of publications focused on well-being and interior architecture, she brings over 20 years of experience in the construction sector. She has held senior leadership roles in professional associations within the construction industry, including Director of Communications and Marketing at the Colombian Society of Architects and Director of Architecture in Concrete at ASOCRETO.
At LABLUD, she shapes the program’s commercial and academic vision, bringing together contemporaneity and culture with an experiential dimension.
Architect trained at the Piloto University of Colombia, with over 35 years of experience in project management, planning, and development in Colombia and France.
A specialist in heritage restoration and rehabilitation, she has led nationally recognized heritage (BIC) projects and complex technical processes. She is co-founder of her practice, Kembaya Arkitekture, and currently serves as the representative of the Colombian Society of Architects in France. She is deeply convinced that working with communities fosters a strong sense of belonging.
At LABLUD, she brings a historical and territorial perspective that connects community, memory, and the contemporary city.
Architect trained at the National University of Colombia, with an MSc in Architectural Engineering: Environmental Design from the University of Bath, and a registered architect in France with her practice, Kembaya Arkitekture.
Maggaly’s experience is grounded in over 15 years of work across multiple fields of architecture, including education, healthcare, commercial, and logistics projects in the United Kingdom, the United States, Colombia, and France. She has also served as an international BREEAM assessor. She strongly believes in the role architects can play in shaping cities and improving everyday quality of life.
At LABLUD, she leads the lab’s conceptual, pedagogical, and visual vision.
